Refund Policy
1. Purpose
This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which Northwest Guard & Investigations LLC ("NGI," "we," "us," or "our") may issue refunds for security services. Due to the nature of security services, refunds are limited and subject to the terms below.
2. General Refund Policy
NGI provides professional security services that involve staffing, scheduling, licensing, and operational costs incurred in advance
All services rendered are non‑refundable once performed
Refunds are not guaranteed and will only be issued in accordance with this policy and the applicable written service agreement
In the event of a conflict between this Refund Policy and a written service agreement, the written service agreement shall control
3. Non‑Refundable Charges
The following charges are non‑refundable:
Security services already performed
Labor, staffing, or standby time
Administrative, onboarding, licensing, or training costs
Equipment usage, deployment, or wear
Late fees, penalties, or collection costs
Charges resulting from client‑requested schedule changes made with insufficient notice
4. Cancellations & Service Termination
Construction Job Site Services
Construction site security services are scheduled based on project timelines, manpower allocation, and site‑specific requirements
Written notice of cancellation or reduction of services must be provided in accordance with the applicable service agreement
Failure to provide required notice may result in charges for scheduled or staffed shifts
No refunds will be issued for construction site services that have been scheduled, staffed, or performed
Patrol Services
Patrol services are scheduled based on route planning, staffing, and coverage commitments
Cancellations or changes must comply with the notice requirements outlined in the service agreement
Patrol services already performed or scheduled are non‑refundable
NGI‑Initiated Termination
If NGI terminates services due to non‑payment, safety concerns, or contract violations, no refunds will be issued for services rendered or scheduled
5. Prepaid Services
Any prepaid amounts will be applied to services rendered
If services are canceled prior to being performed and NGI determines a refund is appropriate, any refund:
Will be issued at NGI’s sole discretion
May be reduced by administrative, staffing, and operational costs incurred
6. Service Disruptions
NGI is not responsible for service interruptions caused by:
Acts of God or natural disasters
Client site conditions or access restrictions
Third‑party actions beyond NGI’s control
Law enforcement or governmental actions
No refunds will be issued for service disruptions beyond NGI’s reasonable control.
6A. Force Majeure
NGI shall not be liable for failure or delay in the performance of services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather conditions
Natural disasters
Fires or floods
Riots or civil unrest
Labor strikes or work stoppages
Acts of terrorism
Government orders or emergency declarations
In such events, services may be suspended or modified without refund. Payment obligations for services rendered prior to or during such events remain in effect.
7. Billing Disputes
Billing disputes must be submitted in writing within ten (10) days of the invoice date
Failure to dispute within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the charges
Disputed amounts do not relieve the client of the obligation to pay undisputed portions
8. No Guarantee of Outcome
NGI does not guarantee the prevention of theft, vandalism, property damage, or criminal activity. The absence of a desired outcome does not constitute grounds for a refund.
9. Governing Law
This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington.
